What's up with this 365-day Homeboy blog and why does it even exist?

I'll be posting on this blog for the next 365 days to help motivate myself in the development of a graphic novel featuring Homeboy (a character I first sketched out years ago.) You'll see posts of character designs, backgrounds, panels and other stuff.

Homeboy is a kid who runs away from home, then wakes up the next morning to discover that a tiny version of his family's home has become part of his head- with a little, noisy, annoying version of his family inside, still yellin' at him. Uh oh...

Thanks to Tom Alger, Bob Harper, Joe Infurnari, Tim Hamilton, Simon Frasier, and Mike Cavallaro for advice in developing the Homeboy idea. Also, thanks to Kurt Marquart, who gave me the idea to do this blog by viewing his 365 Squarey Monsters blog (see link in my blogroll.)
